#26.37 - Customer-Facing Display Names Across Products and Bookings

Every product, variant and booking now carries two names: the internal one your team works with, and a customer-facing display name. You can set, edit or clear that display name anywhere along the chain — in inventory, on a trip's products, or on an individual order line — and customers see only that name on the portal, during seat selection, and on generated order overviews and invoices. The booking edit panel now shows and edits the display name directly, so you no longer have to open the customer portal just to check what a traveller is actually reading on their order. Leaving the field blank clears the override, and there is a clear button to make that obvious. The repeated internal product · variant sub-line has been dropped from the portal and the order overview PDF, so an overridden line no longer reprints the wording it was meant to replace.

The admin order list gains sorting. You can now order results by created date, fully paid date, start date, readiness score, price, amount paid or balance, in either direction, and saved views remember your sort alongside your filters. Sorting never changes which orders appear — only the order they come back in. The list also shows where each order came from — customer portal, Itsy backend, or API connector — as a small tile beside the order code, with a matching filter chip in the filter bar.

The order wizard now refuses to oversell. When a trip product draws its capacity from an inventory time slot or date range, each row tells you whether it can actually be booked and explains why not in plain terms, and only products with overbooking explicitly enabled can be pushed past capacity, with a confirmation on the line. Variant products now price the variant you picked and show how that price was derived. Relatedly, an inventory product that sells through variants can no longer be added to a trip or an order without choosing one, with the requirement spelled out on the form rather than surfacing as a rejected save.

Elsewhere: hovering a client's name on an order opens a card with their contact details, total spent, outstanding balance and recent orders, plus one-click routes to edit the client, change the order's client, or start a new order. Custom reports with date, text, number, boolean and dropdown parameters now run correctly, and report exports download as a single CSV that opens cleanly in Excel with Icelandic characters and locale-correct numbers intact. Booking and gift-certificate purchases now report to your own Google Analytics 4 property as standard eCommerce events, so revenue and campaign attribution appear without any tagging work. You can hide the promo code box on the payment page workspace-wide, with per-trip overrides for campaign departures; point your payment and booking links at your own verified domain; delete inventory products behind a dialog that previews exactly what will be unlinked; and page through the action panel with counts by type.

Also improved: invoice pages can be reordered by drag-and-drop, discount and markup templates can be saved without a value, Amadeus PNRs can be deleted from the inventory list, payment receipts name the participant they were booked against, seat assignment works for bookings added straight from inventory, duplicated orders keep their inventory links, discounts roll up correctly on participant totals, dates no longer shift by the viewer's timezone, and panels and dialogs open instantly from cache instead of reloading from scratch.
