#006 No Setback!

HELLO ...

When you have had the week I had last week, it can hit you pretty hard. But I was determined to not let it affect my MoJo, and on what was officially the first day of summer last Thursday here in Iceland, where everyone else was taking the day off an celebrating, I clocked 11 hours on Itsy, which was a fantastic feeling. I even posted a short video on LinkedIn of me coding in the morning.

SO FAR ...

I am in the midst of some data refactorings that I ran into somewhat unexpectedly. No big thing, as the Google Cloud Firestore is a lot more flexible than other traditional data storage solutions.

I was also working on the public booking widget, finalizing some UI functionality and getting ready for the payment gateway integration. The payment gateway is mostly working, but only with static data, I am still working out the best way for the Workspace to store is's settings for the Gateway so the account and contract information is correct.

SO NEXT ...

I want to finish the public booking widget next week, with integrated payments from an external provider, using settings from the backend data storage. That will be a huge step, and something I can demo in the next couple of weeks hopefully. So exciting!

The backoffice UI is also coming along, I jump into that from time to time, just to switch things up a bit.
