#004 Volcano Visit

HELLO ...

Last night I hiked to the erupting volcano on the Reykjanes peninsula. It's about an 45 minute drive from my home in the city of Reykjavik, and then we had to hike about an hour to get to the site. And what a sight it was. This was my second visit, the first coming on day two of the eruption about three weeks ago.

Watching the lavaflow and feeling the heat coming from the freshly made earth is a once in a lifetime experience (twice so far for me though), and I feel really thankful at the grand age of 46 to be able to hike up there and enjoy the show.

SO FAR ...

From volcano news to Itsy. As I predicted last week, this week was not as productive as I wanted to, and this part of the newsletter will be shorter than I would want. I got stuck on handling the payment flow in the public booking widget. I had to make some changes to how I want the orders to flow in the system, when they are saved and their status. But now I am happy with how this is working.

I am also playing with some Google Cloud Functions as a part of the Itsy ecosystem. I really like how easy they are to code using TypeScript, and the deployment process is a breeze.

SO NEXT ...

I want to finalize the public booking widget, with a payment solution on the end of the process, using Valitor Web Payments as a platform.
