#002 First Client?

HELLO ...

Hello again everybody! Second week of updates, and already a potential first client! Ok, let's not get over excited, but I have a meeting on Monday with a potential client. It will be a perfect opportunity for me to try find out if the direction I want to take Itsy is the right one. As I stated in my first update, the idea behind Itsy is to be small. Only core functionality with lots of integrations available for non essential processes. (me == excited).

SO FAR ...

This week I started some of the backoffice work, figuring out layout and main functionality, maybe next week I will post a screenshow of where I'm at with that. A user can log in to the application (using third party logins), connect to a Workspace, and use a token to authenticate the underlying api. Some Dashboard ideas are being born, and I have started on creating and updating Trips.

Did some major code refactorings as well, which took up a lot of time and deleted between 50 and 60 files in the process. I am landing on a setup which I am pretty happy with, where concerns are appropriately seperated and the code is structured in a way I can live with into the foreseeable future.

SO NEXT ...

This next week I am going to focus on the backoffice application a bit more, hopefully have a rough working version of working with Trips, we will see how it goes.

And yes, it will be called a Trip, with a collection of Products. A Client will then create an Order for the Trip, create Bookings for the Products and enter some Participants. Those are the words Itsy will use. Some of you reached out with some ideas, for which I am very thankful.
